C.J. Flournoy - Executive Director and Founder

B.A. Williams College

C.J. earned his Master of Education from Harvard University, where he was a Bill Gates Graduate Fellowship Recipient, a Diploma in Law at the University of Oxford, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College (consistently named the #1 liberal arts college in the United States by U.S. News and World Report), where he was named a Class of 1957 Scholar.

Prior to founding StellarApp Admissions Consulting, C.J. gained experience in the admissions offices at Williams, Oxford, and Harvard, in student life at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as admissions at larger state universities like the University of Texas system. He also has served as a Fulbright Scholar lecturing at the University of Pretoria in the Republic of South Africa, gained selection experience for the highly competitive and elite Teach for America program, and served in the U.S. Department of State abroad.

C.J. has successfully coached candidates into premier graduate school and college programs and is active in comedy, community service and martial arts.

Aanya - Admissions Consultant

MPP Stanford University

B.S.E. Princeton University

Aanya hails from Chennai, India. She is a former Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania where she had the privilege of working with both undergraduate and graduate applicants to the Wharton School. Before transitioning into independent educational consulting and her time at UPENN, Aanya was a university administrator in Togo through the Princeton in Africa fellowship program, an Associate Director for International Students at Georgetown University, and an engineer with Duke Energy.

She has worked in higher education over eight years, in positions focused on admissions, financial aid, student affairs, and teaching. Aanya holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Princeton University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Stanford University.

Ari - Admissions Consultant

MSc London School of Economics

B.A. Columbia University

Ari joins StellarApp Admissions Consulting after most recently serving as Associate Director for Fellowships at The University of Chicago. Originally from New York City, after graduating from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Economics, he spent a year working in the undergraduate admissions office at Columbia. Ari then worked on Wall Street in investment banking before winning a Fulbright Fellowship to the London School of Economics. At LSE, Ari obtained a Master of Science in International Political Economy. His years of work with the Grameen Bank took Ari to five continents before he landed back in higher education.

Constance - Admissions Consultant

B.A. Dartmouth College

Constance comes to StellarApp Admissions Consulting after most recently serving as Associate Director for Multicultural Recruitment at Dartmouth College, where she also received her degree in Biology and Anthropology. Before returning to her alma mater to work in undergraduate admissions, Constance worked as a researcher on neurological diseases with Biogen in New York City, and as a liaison officer with the UN’s World Food Program. In her time with Dartmouth Admissions, Constance evaluated over 4,000 applications and led recruitment efforts in 10 states and 4 foreign countries.

Melody - Admissions Consultant

Melody brings her experience in graduate admissions at Stanford University’s School of Humanities and Sciences and undergraduate admissions at Pomona College to StellarApp Admissions Consulting. Melody’s foci are students seeking admission to highly selective institutions, international students, and transfer students. After graduating from Stanford University with a B.S. in Design Impact and Aeronautics, Melody served two years as a high school science teacher in Oakland, California through Teach for America. In addition to reviewing applications from many parts of the U.S., Melody recruited and evaluated international students for Stanford. She has a deep understanding of the international, transfer, and highly selective undergraduate admissions process, which has aided in StellarApp Admissions Consulting’s success.

Nate - Admissions Consultant

M.A. UC Berkeley

B.A. Swarthmore College

Nate joins StellarApp Admissions Consulting after three years in the admissions office at Hamilton College.  As an admissions ambassador, during his time at Swarthmore College, where he earned his BA in Latin American Studies and lettered in lacrosse, Nate developed an interest in student-athlete admissions. After graduation, Nate joined Hamilton’s admissions office as Assistant Director where he read thousands of applications and served on the admissions committee. Nate led training for Hamilton’s student and alumni admissions representatives and was instrumental in diversifying the student cohort for his designated regions. Nate has received an MA from UC Berkeley and is pursuing a PhD there presently. During his time in California, he continues to work with many students from public and private high schools, in between hikes along the coast.
